I am in the midst of planning the details of my upcoming trip to Paris in October with my sister-in-law. One of the things she really wants to do is to visit "Les Puces" (the flea markets) which is something I have never done when I have visited Paris.
After doing a little research, it seems that we will want to visit the
Les Puces de Saint-Ouen...you might remember it from Woody Allen's
Midnight in Paris. It is the largest antique market in the world, with over 2500 stalls and has over 120,000 visitors each weekend.
We arrive in Paris on a Saturday, so we will plan to visit the flea market on Sunday morning. Have any of you been before? If so, I would love any tips or recommendations of favorite shops. I did find
this iPhone app which I will download before we go.
What treasures would you search for in a Parisian flea market?
I would love to find a clock like the one pictured above...and maybe a few of those Chanel beauties. And, how amazing are those champagne buckets?
I may need to pack an extra bag for all my les puces purchases!
