Welcoming Spring with Cherry Blossoms!

Happy Spring!  We got back VERY late last night from a few days in Florida visiting family.  It was  a wonderful trip - what a pleasure to feel the warmth of the sun and to be able to eat outside!!  I was surprised to return home to find we still have a fair amount of snow on the ground and another six inches planned for today. Will this ever end? Of course it will...I just heard birds chirping outside my window and, despite the forecast, I can feel spring in the air!

To celebrate the blossoming season, let's escape to one of my new favorite places in the world - Japan! I fell in love with Japan after our visit there last fall - I would LOVE to go back during the Spring for Sakura (Cherry Blossom) season.

 

 

 

In the meantime, I will close my eyes and pretend those snowflakes I will be seeing later today are beautiful cherry blossoms floating to the ground. (Nothing like positive thinking!)
