On My Radar Screen ~ The Super Bowl, Fragrant Hotels, Beating Jet Lag and More!

Happy Friday!!! The eyes of the world will be on the New York metropolitan area  for the Super Bowl this Sunday. Luckily it seems that the weather will warm up a bit by game time, but I still can't see the fun in paying thousands of dollars to sit outside in sub-zero temperatures to watch a football game (call me a wimp...I can handle it!).  No doubt, my readers in Seattle and Denver may feel differently.  Which team do you think will win?

The Empire State Building lit in the colors of the two Super Bowl teams...

Here are a few things pinging my radar screen this week...

Go here if you cannot view the video...

The new movie, Grace of Monaco is expected to premiere at Cannes in May...The scenery looks stunning and I think Nicole Kidman is perfectly cast - I can't wait to see it!

Two books on my nightstand... Under the Wide and Starry Sky  by Nancy Horan (author of Loving Frank) about the adventures and relationship between Robert Louis Stevenson and his wife, Fanny; and the latest by one of my favorite authors, Sue Monk Kidd, The Invention of Wings.

What are all of you up to this weekend? Will you be watching the Super Bowl? I will probably make a big pot of chili and watch the game mostly to see the ads. Does anyone else do that?

I wish you all a warm, toasty and fabulous weekend...wherever you may be wandering!

xoxo
