On My Radar Screen

Happy Friday!  It is hard to believe it is Labor Day weekend already. Soon we will be talking about the holidays! What is everyone doing this weekend? Enjoying the last few days at the beach? Getting little ones ready for their first day of school?

We are sending our youngest off for his second year of college this weekend. What a difference a year makes! This time last year I had a perpetual lump in my throat and the thought of saying good-bye was truly almost more than I could handle. This year he is heading out on his own with his car packed full of all the things he needs for the upcoming year.   While we will miss him just as much, and no doubt I will be shedding some serious tears as he pulls out of the driveway, each year it does get a little easier.

Here are a few fun things I discovered in my wanderings this week...

Can't make it to the America's Cup starting this weekend in San Francisco? Sail on a 12 meter yacht in Newport...

Fascinating bookstores around the world...

National flags created from the foods for which each country is known...

A guide to Woody Allen's Manhattan...

A great tip to know just how many toiletries to pack for a trip...

And, finally, a beautiful and poignant post about the arrival of Fall by my dear blogging friend, Tina of The Enchanted Home, which made me sob both times I read it.

Stayed tuned for a big announcement on Monday Tuesday (oops...forgot about the holiday for a sec!)...

Have a beautiful and sunny Labor Day weekend everyone...wherever you may be wandering!
