On My Radar Screen

Happy Friday everyone! It's hard to believe this is the last weekend in March and Easter weekend!!  My youngest son has been on Spring Break in Florida with a friend's family and visiting my mother, sister and his little cousins, but he will be home for the weekend.
It's been a busy week (with next week even busier with my niece's wedding on Saturday!) but I have a few inspiring items that are on my radar screen to share with you today.
Photo of La Spezia, Italy via Fotopedia

From Italian Fix...Italian women sharing their favorite vacation spots. It is interesting to see a slighly different perspective on travel in Italy.

South Carolina Drawing Room in Thorne Miniature Rooms via Art Institute of Chicago...can you believe that is 1/12 scale miniature room?

From Messy Ness Chic - a wonderful post on The Thorne Miniature Rooms at the Art Institute in Chicago. The Art Institute, and specifically this permanent exhibit, may be my favorite place on all of Chicago.  I realized I have never done a Chicago travel guide and with all the time I have spent there over the years, I definitely need to. Look for that when things calm down a bit in April.

Photo of Mackinac Island from Destinations Travel Magazine

My latest article in Destinations Travel Magazine is on the top ten islands in the US for family vacations.  I will be exploring these islands in more depth here in the coming weeks.

And finally, I am going to close with this lovely video - scenes of Paris set to a reading of Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast about Paris in the Springtime.

Have a beautiful Easter!!
