On My Radar Screen
Happy Friday...I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! My youngest is coming home from college today for the long weekend - I can't wait!
Here are some interesting things on my radar screen this week:
Mark your calendars for this one...I have been waiting for this exhibit to open at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for almost a year and now it is finally set to open on February 26th: Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity
When I went to the Met's site to get the info on the above exhibit, I discovered the amazing online program they are offering called 82nd and Fifth (named for the address of the Met). Each week during 2013 they are bringing two curators from the museum together to discuss two different works of art that have changed how they view the world. Very cool!
The Windstar and Variety Cruises offered until February 26th on Jetsetter seem like an amazing deal. If I didn't already have my Greek Isles cruise planned, I would seriously consider booking one of these.
Thank you to my blogging buddy, Linda, from My Crafty Home Life (don't miss her amazing C Wonder Giveaway that ends today!) for passing along the above video telling the story of the rediscovery of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters...keep watching to discover a VERY cool bookstore in the north of England (I want to go there!).
Social media site FourSquare has launched their "Best Of" City Guides based on actual "check-ins" and tips by users. I haven't had the chance to check it out but with over three billion check-ins, there should be some interesting information there.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone...wherever you may be wandering!
